The commute is often associated with exposure to multi-stimulations such as overlapping noises and busy crowds. This is a factor initiating feelings of stress or anxiety. ‘Sensory’ has been designed in order to fight those negative emotions, as travelers escape to a space where people can isolate themselves from the busy world and relax. Bringing human awareness to only particular senses helps to concentrate and think more clearly. The design is also a solution to combat the problem of boredom during waiting time. By moving the strings, the user causes a lighting effect simultaneously initiating harmonic sound that reflects echoing drops of water. As Dundee is situated by the Tay river, the color scheme reflects the coastal tones. The different intensity of shades represents levels of anxiety in commuters.  The mixture of ambient lights and sounds that whips and pop out every time the wires are being touched creates a fulfilling symphony that could be felt in a mountain grot or a glacier cave. Senses of sight and hearing are being stimulated in answer to the touch sensor, which creates a great satisfaction to users as it is themselves that cause the whole action, therefore giving them an illusive feeling of being in control of the situation.
